My visa has arrived after a long wait. I am going to work as a sales officer in Dubai at Jewelery shop. So, I dicided to celebrate with my best friends last night. Dipak is always with me. He is my best man. He was with me when I was depressed. He was with me when we did fun. Now he was with me yesterday in Kathmandu offering me various kinds of drinks. And Kiran was also with me. He has recently come from Lakhnow but he is my best man as well. We reached at Thamel around 6 in the evening. Kathmandu has very chilled climate these days. First Dep brought a small bottle of Whisky to drive away cold. We shared some sips as first punch. Sandesh who is a thin an lean boy was also accompanying us though he doesn’t have habbit of drinking hard drinks. If I am not sure whether it was his first day to celebrate with guys like us. After emptying small bottle of Royal stag whisky, Dep brought half bottle of Khukuri Rum famous in Nepal and notorious for its strength. We drank with caramel popcorn. Sweet popcorn and Rum is good for brain Dep was telling us as I have never tried before. He also brought a bottle of olive to swallow with Rum. After taking nearly 500 ml of hard alcohol, chilled december winter in Kathmandu was getting hotter for us. It was getting dark so it was time for dinner. We decided to go for some hot Indian cousine. Deep was behind us.As we were in hurry for toilet we left him in a street vendor’s shop where he was enjoying momos. I came out of restaurant to join Dep as Kiran and Sandesh were busy pronouncing the names of dishes from the menu. I found Dep inside supermarket buying a bottle of French wine. As we arrived on the table of restaurant, we found ourselves surrounded with varities of dishes. Dep uncorked the bottle of wine as a dessert after finishing meal.Ok, we all were loaded by now from head to toe. Then Dep produced a cigar as a token of love for me. As it has been a year since I quit cigerette, I couldn’t resist it because I had never tried this one. Well it was fun indeed when I was chocked by blue smoke. Then Kiran proposed us to go to dance bar. There he ordered two bottles of beer. I was constantly smiling as my head was getting confused. In the meantime, my wife who is in Honkong, called me. I told her what was happening to us. And she laughed heartily. Ok guys but it was really cool to get drunk with varieties of drinks. We took whisky, rum, wine, beers and at last dep said let’s go for a last vodka. Oh, It was now 1 am in the morning and I was lying at the backseat of taxi. when I woke up I found myself at the front gate of casino in hotel Annapurna Dep was pressing hard at the counter to let us in. But they din’t allow us as we couldn’t produce sufficient amount of money. Dep drove us home. And I woke up in the morning with terrible headache. Good bye Kathamandu. See u next year.
Thank you Dep, Kiran and Sandesh.
